Romney/Cain are experts in putting people out of work. I don know about Huntsman business experience but I do know that Gov Perry has done a great job in helping businesses to create jobs in Texas.

He says he’ll stop if you promise to quit posting so many pointless comments.

Mainstream people like the 999 plan… they actually bring it up when I have conversations with fellow neighbors.

I can’t remember anything that Perry has said. What is his economic plan? Did he say that he was still working on it again?

These debate formats suck. Never enough time for ALL the candidates to answer/rebut questions.

I did like the fact that they sat at a table and asked each other questions. I like that much better than ‘gotcha questions’ from the moderators.

No one oversaw Obama’s investment. In Texas there is oversight.

Shouldn’t investors do the investing and government stick to governing? If the prospects for an investment was attractive, wouldn’t investors fund it? Doesn’t involving the government just invite inefficiency and corruption?

It’s a shame that you are so annoying. Perry used to be my second favorite candidate but by associating him with you, I am liking him less and less.

Increasing the tax base means you create new tax payers (because they’re working (due to a hospitable business climate that includes reduced taxes) and contributing to revenues)), not new taxes.

The 9% personal tax replaces the tens of thousands of pages of tax code, most importantly the personal income tax, the payroll tax and the death tax.

The 9% business flat tax decreases the corporate tax rate from 35%. It will make our products much more competitive overseas and will therefore boost manufacturing and jobs.

The 9% sales tax is a consumption tax and is the first step towards entirely scrapping the income tax and replacing it with the FairTax. The income tax punishes productivity and investment. Because it is simple and transparent, people would at least know haw much they are paying in taxes. With our current tax code, it is so complex that it’s far too easy for the government to increase taxes.

One can snipe at particulars in the plan but it is a bold plan that would have an extremely positive impact on our economy. If we keep attacking any specific plan that is put out there, we’ll end up keeping the current tax code and that would be a disaster.

Yes, but it REPLACES all the other Federal income taxes that people pay. By replaces, it means that they go away entirely. One big complicated mess of a tax code goes away and is replaced by a simple, fair and transparent system. Because it is transparent, people will finally see what they are paying in taxes and hold Washington much more accountable.

The complexity of the code makes it extremely easy for Washington to raise taxes without people even knowing it. Those days would be over.
