I didn't get to watch the debate last night but I'm watching it right now http://www.youtube.com/user/politics?feature=results_main

Romney is doing fine. I love his "...attacking me is not an agenda..." line. I love how he called out Obama about 'more flexibility.' I think that Romney knew that the fix was in had he really attacked Obama over Benghazi just like with Crowley and the transcript and he stayed away from it. Very savvy. From what I'm seeing so far, this is throwing Obama/Schieffer off of their game and leaves Obama with his indefensible record.

I didn't watch the debate but am just now going through the analysis by many. It sounds like Romney did fine. I didn't think this debate would help obama because for one thing, the overwhelming majority of people are concerned w the economy and jobs. A focus group by Luntz had only person more concerned about FP than jobs. I think Romney made a great strategic move to stay out of the weeds to avoid petty attacks from obama.

The obama reign appears to be coming to an end. Keep praying. I am hearing the libs are going to try to put out a last minute surprise attack like Romney had an affair. Pathetic.

I watched the after-debate analysis on Blaze, and I thought S.E. Cupp was just wrong on several points. She actually believed Romney's exposition of Obama's "Apology Tour" was a bad moment for Romney.

What? No way. It was one of the best moments of the debate for Romney. He was clear, unequivocal, and spelled out exactly what is wrong with Obama's positions. And he did it without sounding angry, petulant, "warmongering," or posturing for the red meat crowd.

Also, she gave the win to Obama, not even "slightly," she said he clearly won.

It's the same problem Charles Krauthammer has when listening to Romney. The screwups by Obama are so many, and of such a major proportion, that listing out one or two and explaining their impact doesn't register with some people. It's like telling folks a tidal wave is coming, and being forced by the rules to hold up buckets of water to show what the problem is. The catastrophe dwarfs mere words and creates a problem of scale.

These folks can hear "Iran is four years closer to having a bomb" and ignore how well that registers, because they didn't hear, "Who lost Egypt?" For journalists who aren't closely paying attention, they miss on some of these tough body blows to Obama, and think Obama won the exchange because no blow hit him on the chin.

Romney held himself level with Obama in a debate where Obama clearly had the standard President's advantage. In other words, Romney didn't lose. Obama only won among his followers. Folks who were leaning Romney did not hear a compelling case to suddenly lean back toward Obama. That's the actual "score" of this debate.

Perhaps working at MSNBC is becoming hazardous to Cupp's health...it's clouding her judgment.

Initially it seems like some of us were upset that Romney didn't bring up certain issues, but we now see the logic and it makes better sense. Romney came out the debates knowledgeable and looking very presidential...ready to take the challenge. Obama and Biden came out of the debates looking like Dumb and Dumber with a bad attitude and no plan.

Spot-on analysis, k-bob, especially in regard to the 'apology tour'.

Romney's other answer about Israel was outstanding: when asked what he'd say if Israel called to tell their bombers are on the way to Iran, Romney answered that this would not happen because his relationship is such that he and Bib would have been talking about that long beforehand.

BAM. Take that, Obama!

K-Bob

Yeah, I liked that exchange as well. For a politician, that was rather deft.

Bathhouse Barry - a lying toad.

America's alliances with e.g. us in the UK is not better than it was before he took office. Not is that with Israel.

He's a lying toad.

I think Romney did what he was supposed to do. He stayed away from where Obama wanted to drag him.

Obama looked like the idiot. I think he ordered a transcript and also a fact check on a few things Romney said. Fact check is in - Obama's still a liar.

It may not have been the most exciting debate, and everyone will slant to their guys favor but, did you see how much Obama was blinking? Also, I noted it looked like they brought Obama's picture closer to the screen to look larger. And, Obama, he's no Biden, he stared at the governor - the whole time, except when he was trying to get Sheffers (sp) attention so he could interupt. Nearly reminded me of Horshack in the welcome back Kotter series.

Thank you so much, rs, for putting this up. Ok, so I'm 'behind', time-wise, but I can't describe how brilliant it is to be able to watch this debate, without cuts made by the biased BBC.

Between you and me, watching this is better than having another cup of coffee!

Didn't quite understand Romney tactic, besides a slew of tv ads he officially ended his main true opponent during the primaries, Newt Gingrich with those last two debates in Florida by putting him on the defensive.

He did the same thing in the first debate and turned everything around from that moment on.

I know CBS news is considered liberal or MSM; but those are awful brutal post debate numbers.

Romney didn't do himself much good tonight in my opinion, of course I hope he wins however!

Newt opinion Yes.. Not sure what you was looking for tonight from Romney but you are missing the major fact - Barack Hussein Obama stated nothing but lies with regards to his Foreign Policy.. Barack Hussein Obama's Foreign Policy as of today looks nothing like that which he spoke of....

DId anyone see Former Gov Pataki take apart OBOMO on mslsd?

I mean it was truly awesome !

Msdnc has already had order by Lawrence Odonell to delete the interview.

Romney thinks Pakistan is not a failed state. That proves to me that his foreign policy advisors are as delusional as the guys in Obama's admin.

The only difference between Obama and Romney will be one thing and one thing only. He will be openly friendly to Israel. That's all. Everything else will remain the same. Wait and see.

Romney wants to start to repeal Obamacare on his first day in office...

But that's just one-sixth of the US economy he wants to nationalize, a mere trifle...

Galatiansch2vs20

Did you not hear Romney had a difference on Poland? Think that had to do with the missile defense system. Also, I think Romney plans to be more aggressive about China cheating. And possibly, opening up more trade avenues with South America. And Romney I think is more concerned about Iran.

Disagree strongly.

You are wrong...wait and see.

The one thing??? How about Romney knows how to run a business and what a free economy can do? Is that different? How about Romney loves the country? Is that another difference for you? Where's your head? Do you suffer from Obamanoids?

That's because in the last debate they counted every lie that Obama told as a point because of the way he said it. This time the lies were more revealing and in your face.

puma_for_life

Romney came across as the President and Obama the challenger. Obama looked like a yellow jacket on the attack.

Romney's response on China was outstanding.

Polling of women voters has already revealed, this was a HUGE error for Zero. Women do NOT respond well, to Biden nor Zero's in your face tactics, which is why both of them lost their debates, in that demographic.

Zero has lost millions of votes, since '08. He hasn't picked up a single one. His loss, is a given.

Romney picks up at LEAST 3-4 pts off this. Minimum.

Romney wanted to show he wasn't a warmonger, thus handing the election issue back to the economy... gave Obama nothing to attack him with here. A very good thing IMO... I scored it slightly Romney due to Israel ( I wanted much more attack but sometimes playing close to the vest is the best... Romney has momentum and didn't want to change that with controversy I think).

I'm surprised that O mentioned fact checking. I would've thought he'd learned that lesson in the last debate.
