Watching the Glenn Beck Show today and going forward

Hi everyone. Well as you may know, Fox News LLC has claimed the copyright on the shows I’ve uploaded as well as other Fox videos. I do have yesterday’s show working fine, so please watch it if you haven’t.

I do plan to post today’s show as scheduled and plan to continue going forward. What will change is the amount of time I leave the each show up on the site.  Therefore, I have created a poll to find out what your habits are in how quickly you come to watch the show. My guess is that most people watch either the day it airs or the following day. I will decide how long to keep each show up based on your answers. Also please leave a comment if your situation is more complicated that the answers on the poll.

I have two points of frustration with this. First, Glenn often encourages people to DVR and share the show, get the message out. Second, I have basic, basic cable. I don't want some of the other channels in my home the would be part of a package that includes FOX. I have tried many times to find a way to purchase FOX online, or be able to subscribe to Glenns tv show. To be honest, I think FOX is missing out on a buisiness idea, Im just sayin.

The unfortunate thing is that Beck doesn't own the TV show so how he feels about it's distribution doesn't matter.

But like you, I've always thought that they should go online…even for a fee. I would love to watch NFL games that I can't get in my area online, and I'd even pay a nice amount to see my team play. So whether it be Fox or NFL, I'd love to have an online option.

  • punditpawn

All my broadcast is over the air (antenna). Like Adam, I only want one other channel (Fox News) and you can't get it without coughing up $75 /month and I don't want any of the other cable stuff or sports junk, etc.

Fox streams beck at 8:00PM and Oreilly at 9:00PM over at Ustream for free, but it's audio only, and you have to be in front of it at those time periods.

  • m_quick

Will you still be using youtube?

And I love Beck, but I REALLY love watching Stossel. Will you still be able to post Stossel's show?

  • Jojode

I understand changes have to be made and I truly appreciate finding out about this site as I do not have cable at all. A suggestion would be to keep the Friday show on longer as the weekend can be busy for some and at times I watch two shows the same day to catch up.
I have let others know about this site so they can get informed and learn about it and about Glenn's message. Thank you again for your service, I'm sure you will make the right decision.

frankly i'm surprised it took fox this long to kill the party as it's all the rage these days to claim copyright privilege. i think fox is being unreasonable and short sighted in this maneuver because, clearly, those watching episodes here or on yt simply are not seeing it on cable. as an artist i respect intellectual rights but i think those who are 'exercising' their copyright privileges this way are missing out on the free advertising opportunity. they just come off as giant corporate monolith cry babies. but then i may have a bone to pick; fox absolutely ruined speed (nee speed vision).

thanks for the great site and trying to get beck to us poor slobs.

You have to do a few things to keep the fox hounds off your back.

    1. don't tag your videos on youtube with glenn beck or any other search flagging tags.

    2. put the posts on your blog of the videos behind a login gateway that the user would need to register to see the videos.

3.maybe find another video site not as popular as youtube they are all just as good.

    4. never ever have the video link and advertising that pays you on the same page or the same blog if it can be helped. keeps the lawyers from calming you have made millions from the copyright

    5. maybe in stead of embedding the video you should just post the link.

I sent you a tweet with a link to a youtube alternative you might try. As for my viewing habits – Since I don't have cable TV, I watch beck exclusively on your site. Sometimes, same day but usually a day or two later depending on my work schedule. So, having episodes around for a while is a good thing for me! Check out the alternative I sent you and let me know! And, thanks for everything you do!

I'm a big fan of Beck and was very disappointed when fox made changes and couldn't view their shows online anymore. But, I am glad that I had found your site and were be able view my favorite show again. I just hope that we can keep that opportunity to view Beck's, stossel's, Hannity and Rush in this site. I do really hope that fox will consider “rightscoop” fans who can't afford big cable bills for now. Again, “rightscoop”, thanks a million for your effort, so all can enjoy watching our favobeck show!

  • AyeChihuahua

In another thread I brought PopModal (a conservative video site) and Daily Motion to your attention as great alternatives to YouTube.

Both of those sites are better about infringement issues than YouTube.

  • donnanobel

I watch Glenn as soon as you post it on this site. I sure thank you for that – my cable is basic. So, I couldn't answer your poll as it didn't give that option. Have a nice day.

  • cindy25

you could post it on a torrent site.

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/VLTAGBAA4KQTKZFFOWUQSZK2XY Kid Sister

you think they would Pay you to have it avail online!

You're doing them a favor…. If they aren't going to have it available…??

  • flow_hoe

Please post a copy to Usenet and supply a .nzb. Once in Usenet, Fox won't be able to delete them. And much easier to stay anonymous than say YouTube or torrents.

  • flow_hoe

Please post a copy to Usenet and supply a .nzb. Fox will be unable to remove anything in Usenet. And it is much more anonymous than YouTube or torrent.

  • alhightower

I work a 3 to midnight shift and do very much appreaciate being able to wake up in the morning to catch the show. As for myself and the thoughts of others we do thank you very much to airing the show for us that cant catch if live or late showing either on fox. thanks again from just call me al from az.

  • amywilson

I'm in agreement with most people here. They should love the free publicity that your site gives Fox. I too do not have cable as I have no interest to buy all these channels to watch one – FoxNews. If the cable companies would wise up and let people pay by channel, I might pick a few and they would have me as a customer, but as long as they do things in packages that force you to pay for stuff you don't want, I'm not going there. I don't even watch TV anymore UNLESS online episodes in my own timeframe. When will these people figure it out.

  • mary67

Wow! I only recently found you and check in daily now. The company I have been employed with since 2002 folded. I am struggling to make ends meet and cannot afford cable right now. I really depend on you being here and making available what I truly believe is the most important show on TV, currently. Please, please make Fox aware that there are those of us who have been loyal viewers for years who have fallen on lean times. We need these shows for our education and sanity. Thank you for all you do on your site. Cheers.

  • shelken

I don't get cable and so I watch Glenn Becks show whenever I can and I'm very glad to have found it here. Thanks

I am very much your other viewers. No TV but love Beck. Thank you for your service, I am so glad to have found you.

  • lsheldon

    I don't watch Television.

I check here for Beck every evening–occasionally miss until the following day.

I'll say what may be unpopular here, but my politics and ethics require me to say that it would be OK if you left the commercials in or put the archives behind a for-pay wall.

  • kipper1995

I have to agree with the others. Fox is missing the boat on this. I live in France (ex-pat) and don't have cable (or a TV for that matter) and watch GB every day and Stossel every week. If I had cable I'd watch it, but can't get FNC here. I would bet that most of the people watching via YouTube are those who don't have access any other way. They could be reaching a larger audience by allowing us to watch online.

  • Gene46

I love watching Glenn, but don't have cable. I don't seem to usually have time to watch on the day it runs. Don't get enough sleep as it is, so I try to catch up on the weekend. I sometimes refer program and your site to other people, so it would be good if you can keep the shows available for a while. Glenn has a good message, it would be sad if it was no longer available. I would think just keeping the conversation spreading would attract viewers and help Fox. Thanks for your hard work.

  • Fireplug52

I am possibly in an unusual position to watch the program because of where I live. (Germany). This is the only source that I can find to watch any of the programming on Fox News though Fox News is available in Europe. The only problem is to get Fox News requires a subscription to either an Italian Sky service or the British Sky service. I would gladly pay for it, but the current subscription I have to Sky Germany is quite adequate for me, but it does not provide Fox News. Go figure. The Italians have it but not the Germans. Maybe I will get lucky and Sky Germany may start showing Fox News. Sure, when Al Gore and pigs flies.

  • keninmontana

I just wanted to thank therightscoop for posting Glenn's show. I'm one the “unwashed” masses who does'nt have cable or sat tv. I try to watch the day its posted but sometimes watch the following morning. Thanks again for all you do to help us stay informed.

  • malnatik9

I also want to thank The Right Scoop for posting Glenn's show. I had cable, and watched every day, until they kept jacking up my rates so much I had to cut back to basic cable – when my husband got a temporary pay cut that turned permanent. I usually watch the day after its posted but sometimes run out of time, and have to watch the second day after. I really hope FOX doesn't kill this. Beck was one of the few shows that I really missed, once I dropped from the 72 channels down to basic. Tell FOX we love Beck, but simply cant afford the extra $50./mo just for one show.

  • MSkiles27

I currently watch the show the same day it airs …

  • ashephard

I am grateful for having found this site recently so I could watch Glenn again! I was laid off and had to cut the expenses and the satellite was the first to go! I missed Glenn SO! When I found this site through my local radio station 540AM WFLA, my first thought was that it wouldn't last and I hope that won't be true! ;-( I work 2 part time jobs so I don't get to watch Glenn right away, but I catch up on the weekend, so I might be 3-5 days behind sometimes! I pray for at least 5 days posted!! Thanks!!!

  • ashephard

I found this website recently and I was so glad I found it since having to cancel my satellite after being laid off….you know cutting expenses in the budget that are unnecessary in order to pay for the important stuff, you know, what the gov't should be doing! I missed Glenn and was hoping that it wouldn't run into trouble with Fox. I hope you can work things out ;-( I work 2 part time jobs and don't around to watching most time until the weekend to catch up on 5 episodes, so at least 5 would be best for me! ;-) By the way, found the link to this site for Glenn's programs from my local radio station 540AM WFLA – God bless!

I found a streaming live for FNC that went down on Monday. You were a life saver. I thought my days of watching Glenn was over. The Stream was back on Tuesday but it too may end, it has to been my third in a month all other have been shutdown. Like “iwanttowatchitonline” said tagging it is like putting a sign saying delete. To spreed the wonderful message of Beck one need codes like GB3-3pt2 or gbgb0303pt2 with no tags and no discription. Fox News LLC pays people to scour youtube for anything they own and have inside power to delete with no wait and will kill your channel at the same time. I am sure there are even bots that use other technical software to get it. The best video sources are not by found by keywords but by word of mouth and by posting from some obscure flash in the pan channel than can easily be replaced if and when deleted.

  • texasgirl46

I hope you don't have to quit posting his shows….You are my only way to watch it…
You'd think that Fox would be ok with this, it gets the info out there. I thought that's what they wanted…..
Will you still be able to put it on your youtube channel?

  • http://www.therightscoop.com/ therightscoop

can you send me that link again?
