HUFFPO – The White House on Wednesday released the full set of emails surrounding the Obama administration’s development of talking points describing the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack in Benghazi, in response to continuing charges from Republicans in Congress that there was a massive political “cover-up” of what transpired.
In a briefing with reporters at the White House on Wednesday afternoon, senior administration officials used the emails to show that the CIA, rather than the State Department, drove many of the changes to the talking points that were ultimately used by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice.
