Wolf Blitzer to Ted Cruz: You can’t be overly idealistic, you have to compromise because Obama won

I love that Ted Cruz just puts himself on the record as opposing this fiscal cliff deal, even saying that he would have voted against it. He doesn’t hedge or dodge. He explains that what we need is economic growth and this tax-raising bill does the opposite in killing jobs, hurting small business and hurting Americans.

But Wolf Blitzer pushes Cruz over and over on this, suggesting that he should compromise and be concessionary because Obama got reelected as did Harry Reid and the Democrats in the Senate. In fact he told Cruz that he can’t be overly idealistic and that he needs to embrace this reality. Argh! I was yelling at my TV at this point.
