Aren’t conservatives the ones who are supposed to be the xenophobic racists? That’s the media narrative, anyway. In fact, I was just reading today about new study out linking conservatism to prejudiced attitudes. I’m sure it was totally unbiased and scientifically conducted (yeah, right). And yet here is the Vice President of the United States – a liberal Democrat, of course – doing what amounts to an Archie Bunker riff at a stump speech today in Rochester, New Hampshire. Go figure.

Need I remind anyone that this buffoon is only one heartbeat away from the Oval Office. For real.

Nothing racist about it. But we have become so paralyzed to offend people that he can’t even make his point. Yes, people get annoyed when they hit a call center and hear a thick accent not because they are racist, but because they know they are about to get crappy service from a company who outsources American jobs. When you buy a product and get overseas help, it feels like the company slapped you across the face.

It’s no blog…it’s a forum with a political sub-section. A lot of lefties there and it seems that I’m one of only a very few conservatives there. Most of the time the libs monopolize every thread and do their point and laugh routine using all kinds of pejoratives. I have lost count of how many threads have been locked on my account, and constantly get the rules thrown in my face by the moderators…..but I’m ready with examples of their own misbehavior and selective treatment, and they have yet to ban me.

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel, and you should see how quickly things get locked when they can’t win a simple argument…..they throw everything but the kitchen sink when I begin to corner them.

As the parent of an Asian Indian child I can tell you that there is plenty of prejudice in the white population still around towards those with dark skin!

Biden really didn’t say much you could barely make it out-it wasn’t offensive to me!

Coming from an immigrant family in Brooklyn, I can tell you that prejudice, and which way it was directed, was just a matter of which block one happened to be on. It was part of life, and overcoming it by taking the time to know someone were great lessons in life. My mother could nail just about any accent in the borough, no one took it as an insult, and she generally had great fun where ever she went.

The ugly line we crossed in America in the 60′s was to let the media and academic social engineers replace the word prejudice with racism and bigotry. We have paid a great price for that. That is the what happens when the left controls the narritive.

Worse thing about all of this is we are all guilty of poking fun at others without being “racists” but the holier than thou left installs the PC police to root it out so they can use it as a weapon against the opposition. This is the greatest reason of all not to be politically correct in any sense of the word.

If you cannot make fun of yourself meaning your ethnic background than you are shallow and insecure. What would this planet be like without humor? Dan, I clicked on the “Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice” link, read the article and thought…that can’t be right.

So, I continued to follow links and other articles down under and back to the states until I came up with — what I think is — the source material for the above article.

Still have to retrace my drill down to make sure I haven’t missed anything before I post my findings. If it’s too long I’ll post it on my blog and a summary here in 2-3 days.

My hope is that it won’t be too yucky for me to handle with my low IQ conservative brain.
