So..Perry has finally learned how to answer the gotcha landmine questions from the media left. Glad to see it. Takes awhile to learn the answer to the "Have you stopped beating your wife?" question

That name would probably be Karl Rove - the maestro of dirty tricks and smears and whisper campaigns -- to use more polite language. Interestingly enough, Rove recruited Perry to switch from a Dem to a Republican years ago. And though I don't think Perry is an absolute angel, I think he has more of a moral core than Rove does. Rove enjoys the disinformation campaigns. For more info - watch the documentary on Current TV about Bush's Brain. (Yes, I know how they lean -- but watch and see if some of the facts seem to tell the full story about Rove and how he works against his political opponents -- most of whom have been Republicans he's campaigned against as he brought his candidates to the top).

I'm not a big Rick Perry fan, but this is a GREAT response to a "When did you stop beating your wife?" query.

I've live on a ranch for 40+ years in Texas and never took a penny from government at any level, and never will. You obviously don't live in Texas, nor have you read Governor Perry's book, 'Fed Up!' -- which is better than any book ever written by Ron Paul.

I read the politico piece, and it completely makes sense, as to why the Perry campaign had struggled in the beginning but also has improved and turning his campaign around as of late. Now He has new handlers on his campaign, obvious proof the way he responds to the politico piece, who knows how his old handlers (who use to work for Newt) might have allowed him stick his foot in his mouth again. I think it was obvious his old handlers did not have Perry prepared and the experience to run a Presidential campaign.

Steven, you're missig the point. While it may very well be technically true, nobody is interested in staff infighting -- except those who are trying to tak a candidate down. Anyone who has read "Fed Up!", Governor Perry's latest book, knows that this fellow could be the next Andrew Jackson; ONLY Rick Perry has taken it to both the blue-haired tyrant senior citizens and to the crime cartel that uses the felicitous but fraudulent brand 'Federal' Reserve.
Petty political bickering turns people off, as well it should. This republic faces incredible domestic enemies; if we don't take them on NOW and stay on them until we beat them, they will have finished us as a constitutional republic.

Only Rick Perry gets it. Read 'Fed Up!' and compare it to any of Ron Paul's books -- and especially his ACTIONS over the past 30+ years in Congress.

I'm off the Rick Perry bandwagon, but I do like this. I've had countless leftists trying to 'zing' me on people like Bush, the War on Terror, Conservatism, Christianity, etc., and it almost always comes in the form of some stupidly intentionally inflammatory statement from that mysterious group, T.H.E.Y.. Funny how they've got so many contacts in the world's best intelligence organization, and yet can't produce a single name from one of these intrepid operatives that finds out so much intel on us.
Now that is how you handle a pesky, negative "reporter." He didn't appear uncomfortable with the confrontation, he held his ground, and at the end, he won the argument without giggling or reaching out & physically laying hand on the guy. (Although I personally would want to strangle these idiots.)
I like his fighting spirit. Tripped up Romney a number of times, too. Would make an interesting showdown with the big O.
A response like this has been WAY too long in coming. If it wasn't said or done by somebody in particular, then it didn't happen.
