Oh wait, did I say next generation? Sorry, I meant predecessor.

This is apparently from Syria:

One more thing, just before I take off...

I can now eat pizza again. I just put this on the headlines thread at Ace's:

Moron-style, lo-carb, redneck "pizza" recipie:

* Plate.

* Buncha cubes of KoJack or whatever cheeze.

* About ten pepperoni slices.

* Some of them big-ass olives stuffed with garlic or jalopeno.

* handful of those tiny "grape" tomatoes.

* whatever peppers you like.

Dump on plate. Add toothpick, walaa!

Tip: Use them pre-cut, bagged versions of everything.

Sounds like supper to me!

Interesting election result maps here.

The third one down is interesting because it shows the red places got redder, and the blue places mostly got less blue, except for the non-buccal orifices on the body politic, New York and San Fransisco, and a few other extra orifices, like Denver and ChiCAgo.

By the way folks, as you probably know, National Review is being sued, along with Mark Steyn, Rand Simberg, and the Competitive Enterprise Institute by one Michael Mann (complaint as filed, here (pdf file) ), of fraudulent science's "hockey stick" fame.

NRO is seeking contributions to help them fight the suit. On the one hand, I'm sure Steyn will gladly pay his part in it, because this is excellent publicity. I don't know about Simberg or the CEI, but I think it probably makes sense to send NR at least a few bucks (like $5 or $10), because a massive show of support says more than the amount people actually send. I'm sure they could use more, though if you can swing it.

I'd love to see Mann have to defend his stupid fraud in court, and I really hope they manage to make him do it.

The funny thing is that Mann stepped on his necktie right out of the gate by claiming that he "...and his colleagues were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize," an assertion which the Nobel committee seems to disagree.

It might make interesting theater. Ima sendem' a few bux.

The modern version of a sling shot. Its more like a grenade launcher than an anti-tank weapon. Its just another terror weapon. Earlier in Islamic history they used a larger version or catapult to bombard a city with infected rotting corpses of humans and dead animals.Now they just use TNT. And oh hey haji...Allah is still not the greatest...The pedophile maniac lied. Pieces of burning shite be upon him.

and i'm sure according to their numbers that killed dozens of regime troops and 3 of their tanks.

Since we are already supplying them with weapons we should just send them a bunch of those big water-balloon slingshots. They would love that. Plus it would be a lot cheaper for us.

Aloha Snackbar and Wiley Coyote all rolled into one! Thank gawd the O regime hasn't discovered the ACME product company, yet? Or maybe that's the organization running weapons to these maggots? It sure fits the profile of this administration!

I'm sure these guys are jealous that the Egyptian Islamists are getting the new F-16s.

Note to Muzzies Note to Muzzies! Dennis the Menace wants his slingshot back! What a joke! To think a handful of these morons (who thankfully blow themselves up at a staggering rate!) keep the entire Israeli population on edge is a crime against God and Man!! Go in with a .22 and you already outgun them. What this video didn't show was the next shot the front guy slipped, fired it straight up in the air and they all thought was a fun game of hot potato and caught it again! Yeah!!You win the prize!! 76 Hillary Clinton and Sandra Flukes waiting on you in hell! And notice how much they seem to enjoy hugging each other and ass-grabbing?! If this were women they would be stoned and then beheaded! Evil Evil religion and I do not use that word lightly!!

You've got to love that "modern" technology that's being used these days. What's the next weapon they're going to us, the spear?

Kind'a makes Isaiah 17 come alive.

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts.

Is. 17:1-3

This situation over here scares me. Assad the dictator on one side, possibly shipping chem weapons to Hezbollah, and the rebels made up of al qaida on the other. Who's going to win out of this? Not the Christians, and others caught in the middle. Pray for the innocents over there.

It seems that the talk of the current administration's gunrunning activities has surfaced once again, although the destination of said arms is Syria instead of Mexico. This is a story from back in October, however it's relevant and makes some serious charges on the subject; http://www.businessinsider.com/us-syria-heavy-weapons-jihadists-2012-10

Christ Stevens was a victim of his own malfeasance and complicity with the Obama regime. Sorry... it cannot be viewed any other way.

Range? oh, about so far.

Altitude? Uh, up high.

Magnitude? Mmm, about 6 manpower.

Bomb hits the crossbar? Priceless.

We know that, even after sequestration and Obama's other reductions of the US military, we will never have this form of weaponry. Why, you ask?

Because 1) the EPA will regulate the device right out of existence, 2) the Chinese will be making the rubber bands (which they won't sell us because of our exorbitant debt), 3) the bombs will be supplied by the government agencies that perform the stings on our homegrown terrorists (which will have faulty fuses and detonators), and 4) our military men and womwn aren't stupid enough to pull the lever (and you can't get 6 liberals to screw in a CFL lightbulb, let alone pull a rubber band).

Wait til the Wmds get into their hands, they do look like they would gas themselves before launching a single molecule at anyone down wind. What a bunch of rubes.

Nukeman60

Heh, I can see it now -- "Which way is up?" "You didn't light it yet, did you?" "What, wasn't I supposed to?" "Darn, the rubber band broke. Quick, call a priest!"

LOL! Is that a failure to launch? How big a pile is a billion dollars worth of rubber bands, anyway?

Isn't it something that the Syrian people have been around a lot longer than the American people and this is as far along as they are in innovation. Seriously.

Had to laugh at first, then thought about it. No launch signature. Can be set up on any street or rooftop. Can use any manner of grenade or small bomb. Basically silent in operation.

Not to mention, David slew his opponent with a much more primitive version....

Your Biblical references aside, the SPG is quite ingenious.

I wonder what the effective range is on a weapon like this. It's an interesting piece.

David had God on his side.

Nuff said.

Now dont diminish the details of what happened. Here is something I came across recently:

1Sam 17:48-49 (LXXE)

48 And the Philistine arose and went to meet David. 49 And David stretched out his hand to his scrip, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine on his forehead, and the stone penetrated through the helmet into his forehead, and he fell upon his face to the ground.

Best comment of the year, RS! Because that is exactly the ONLY reason David beat Goliath and God is NOT on the side of the Syrians who are the descendants of Ishmael, the bastard son of Abraham.
