Romney sure knows how to send these idiots into a frothing hissy fit. I mean seriously, they are so predictable:

Of course we all know he’s probably been labeled a racist by now and MSNBC is gonna run full coverage of this joke all weekend long.

That quote was from me, earlier.

Watch the clip (via Washington Examiner):

I totally laughed when Michael Eric Dyson said “most despicable bigotry we can imagine” and he hadn’t even heard the quote in full context. At least the one guy wants to know the context. Dyson hadn’t even heard the actual quote from Romney and he’s already calling it the “most despicable bigotry we can imagine.” Talk about a “natural reflex action”.

These are some total clowns......not only was this a joke but they act like this was never an issue.....if this was such a none issue then why did Obamama finally release his obviously bogus birth cert after Trump hamered him about it for weeks...I thought Trump was a hack joker so why respond? I love it as it drove the crowd wild and if it was so totally radical why were the 2 nuns in the background loving it so much...those scary nuns!

He's NOT in crisis. He's getting into his groove. The one thing the Left can't take is being mocked.

The FACT is that it took Donald Trump raising the issue to even get some form of a birth certificate. But, let's not mention that. No, let's assume that he is from America because he said so.

Implying otherwise, to these reporters, is not based on the fact that his records are sealed, he refused to provide a birth certificate, his own old bio says he's from Kenya. No, it's just cause Mitt doesn't like black people.

What B$, then tell Obama to release his "real" birth certificate and "real" college records. He keeps everything under wraps and should not be president. Romney/Ryan must win.

Welcome to Victimville. Once you take up residency you can never move out or on. There is a big philosophical magnate in the village square that keeps the residents in place. Thee Message is posted daily on the village square bulletin board. Residents do not have to learn from experience, consider any evidence, apply logic, or worry about the consequences of their choices. The village thrives on feelings and intentions, which are all good and altruistic. The residents listen to Imagine on their iPods all day.

The End.

Has the left now been reduced to grasping for straw(dog)s? If crap like this fake outrage is all they have they are in deep trouble.

Very informative discussion. Are these people paid for this? Are our tax dollars being spent to prop up this nonsense?

Here is a simple question: Why would anyone spend between $2 to $4 million dollars to keep his college records, admission application, etc hidden?

AlabamaPatriot2
AlabamaPatriot2

I can speculate that they're hidden more for what they don't say, that what they do say.

Suzyqpie

Hi Frank, because the college records confirm a sloppy, slovenly, lazy, haphazard, poorly executed, poorly planed, total failure to think through the implications, debris field of scholarship. Confirmed by the saturation of the same characteristics displayed in the 0bama Presidency.

These people are supposed to be smart? Bigotry? Racism? What a laugh! Romney was joking for God's sake. These people don't have a sense of humor at all! Let them continue on with their buffoonery. I wonder what they'll have to say when Romney is President. Judging from their reactions, I predict at least three out of the five will check into the nearest mental institution.

The Democrat KKK use to lynch black people, and a joke about someone's birthcertificate is the most despicible bigotry we can imagine. Does Dyson know his own history?

For a person who sees racism and bigotry in garden vegetables, Dyson has very little imagination.

Funkmaster23

Oh please. These liberal idiots are completely insane. That was a very light joke, but of course a black racist and a bunch of self-hating white americans at MSNBC find it offensive. I don't like Romney or Obama but get a life, you libtards!

white531
white531

Share with me your thoughts on this. What is it that benefits the lame stream media from embracing socialism and communism? I have never had that explained to me in a way that I could understand. It would seem that Conservative thought and productivity in the marketplace would better serve them. Forgive me for introducing a little of Ayn Rand here this evening, but what do they gain by supporting this idiot? What's in it for them?

white531

He said that Romney's comment was, "Scary." I think it is scary that MSNBC could assemble five racist commentators on one panel with so little brains among them. If this is the best the Left can do, then November is going to be a slam dunk.

Anytime a conservative or republican opens up their mouth, this is what happens. Gotta get used to it. :-/ Besides, I think Mittens was playing them like a fiddle. I'm sure he knew exactly what was going to happen.

Haha! Romney, are we getting in the trenches? Go for the throat, Romney. He went their because conservatives are going to start playing dirty. If any group of pseudo reporters should understand those tactics, it is MS(wankers)NBC.

I don't get it. I haven't heard the quote in context, either, but from what she said I don't understand the hoopla. No one has asked him for his birth certificate because everyone knows he was born here. So what.

It was a dig at Obama's refusal to turn over what I believe should be the most basic of requirements to become President. The left demanded it from McCain and got it, yet we are bigots because Obama refused to turn his over and we don't like it? The left held requirements for McCain but we don't have the right to expect the same from Obama? Give me a break. If Obama wouldn't have spent upwards of $2 million to prevent showing his birth certificate then suddently produces one out of thin air many months later, this wouldn't be an issue. Obama deserves the doubt, the mistrust and the criticism.

The hypocrisy they spew is maddening! Romney's joke today was "despicable bigotry" and yet the ad showing Allen West punching a white woman is NOT????????? Remarkable selective outrage.

Nukeman60

Having read Rules for Radicals, I found the entire exchange interesting, in a context of what each of these people actually said.

The first guy said, "They have to go back to their base bigotry". The first woman then said, "They're trying to re-package him (Romney) heading into the convention". The next woman then says, "That statement is scraping the very bottom of the sort of racist narrative of other (unintelligible)". And the fourth person says, "Why would he go there? What's the wrapping around this string of craziness?" Finally, back to the first guy, who finishes up with, "But don't you think that when you are in crisis, you fall back upon that which is essentially you?"

Putting these statements all together as one full statement, you have a simple description of what Obama is actually doing himself and they tried to put it all back on the Republicans and Romney. Straight out of Rules for Radicals. Turn the narrative back on your opponent, and the people, having heard it about your candidate, will believe it as the truth about your opponent. It's the only attack plan they have.

"But don't you think that when you are in crisis, you fall back upon that which is essentially you?"

Great post, nukeman. And aren't they just doing that right now, falling back to what they essentially are. Unfortunately they don't have far to fall, eh? Pity.

Nuke, you never fail to nail it. Kudos, my man! You reduced this entire argument to three paragraphs.

RosiesSeeingRed
RosiesSeeingRed

Nuke, right on. You got it!!! I've been reading "Rules for Radicals: Defeated", and I'm almost also wondering if Romney is using one of their own tactics against Obama. I was thinking that when Romney dropped that joke in Michigan, he did it intentionally. He never said Obama wasn't born here, but by naming the hospitals that he and Ann were born in, he revived the controversy that the left has worked so hard to avoid. By now, the race card has gotten old and overused, and they are running out of ways to avoid the birth certificate and college records controversy. The more they have demanded Romney's tax returns, the more the right has been pushing back with "show me your b.c. and college transcripts."

I don't think it's a coincidence, either, that Trump -- the head honcho of the birther movement -- has announced that he has a surprise in store for us at the convention. People are already speculating that it could be about Obama's nefarious past, and I think this has the left on edge. Remember, with Alinsky, it was not about the action, but about the REaction. It doesn't matter if the accusation, ridicule or other diversion technique is true. It just matters that the other side reacts. The reaction then becomes the story, and they've successfully deflected away the controversial subject.

So who is reacting now? The left! Romney casually makes that joke, Trump is planning a big surprise, and everyone is talking about Obama's birth certificate again, just in time for the GOP convention, where Romney gets to flaunt his patriotism and love for the USA. Meanwhile, except for the 7 people who watch MSNBC, the rest of the country is thinking "not the race card again!" -- especially when they actually hear what Romney said. Bigotry? Give me a break.

Seriously, I think Romney has pulled an Alinsky on Obama!

white531
white531

Good, Rosy. I like your perspective on this.

Nukeman60
Nukeman60

Romney's camp is smart. Using Alinsky against them would send them into a tizzy. One has to wonder why else would a simple little joke appear to get them all riled up (other than the fact that they still believe the race card actually works any more).

Thanks for the tip on the book 'Rules for Radicals Defeated'. I'll have to pick that one up tomorrow for further reading.

Wow.. dismiss the past why don't we? I'd say slaves being whipped to death is pretty despicable, but, I guess that doesn't compare to a birth certificate joke from Romney? How bizarre is that?

Stehekin912

I have seen some despicable bigotry, friend, and Romney's little joke doesn't doesn't come anywhere near either despicable or bigotry.

Save your comments about bigotry and despicableness for actions that truly deserve them. The words will have meaning that way.

Yeah, I know. I am wasting my "breath".

Think back to the 2008 Democrat race. The 0bama camp was in a race hot and heavy with the Clinton camp. The 0bama camp lobed the Race Card into the Clinton camp. Clinton, the first black president, has never gotten over the altercation. Stay with me, the Clinton Camp was ticked. The 0bama camp was victorious. The Race Card was, thusly, reduced to "just politics." Henceforth, The Race Card is innocuous. Side bar, after The race-card-tennis-ball match, Bill, Hill, Bar, Shelly, went to dinner and discussed the future plan. The End.
